Robyn Anderson, associate principal, talks about the developing confidence of students as a result of home support, which translates into improved learning.

Transcript

The parents are much more behind their children with their reading. They know the importance of listening to their children read. They make time to do it. Homework is not something that is scribbled on a sheet or in the book on a Monday morning. It is something that is done together as a family. When you’ve got that support from home it does transfer back into the classroom and what it does is it gives the children inner-confidence and once they’ve got that confidence they put that into their learning and then that goes again into their assessments and the levels are increasing.
