Market fair

Students will set up and run their own market fair for caregivers and selected students in their school.

The learning context

Students set up and run their own market fair for their school community.

To begin, students might investigate local markets to find out how these are run and what role markets have in their community. Students can interview local people who have been involved in community markets.

Students can then work through the business planning cycle - firstly, deciding who will be their customers, and secondly, what they will produce and sell at their fair.

Students can then make their products and play a role in the organisation and running of the market fair.
