[Column 2]
Engagement
Provide multiple and flexible means of engaging the learner in what is to be learned so that all students will be motivated to learn. For example, some students work on a project individually, while others, who are more stimulated by collaboration, work in teams
Representation
Provide multiple and flexible means of presenting what is to be learned (representation) so that all students will be able to access the content of the curriculum. For example, some students may read a textbook, while others use a digital version of the text that includes text-to-speech software
Action and expression
Provide multiple and flexible means of action and expression so that all students will be able to demonstrate what they have learned. For example, students can write their ideas using pens, a keyboard, text-to-speech, or graphic organisers. Students can demonstrate their understandings by making a video, performing a play, or writing an essay.
