FREE financial capability workshops for year 1 - 10 schools

Free financial capability workshops for school leaders and teachers are being held across the North Island. During the workshops participants will explore the purpose of financial capability in The New Zealand Curriculum, examine the financial capability online resources, and discuss strategies for integration of the financial capabilities across current teaching and learning programmes.

DigMyIdea: Māori Innovation Challenge

DigMyIdea aims to grow Māori involvement in Aotearoa’s digital economy, inspiring entrepreneurs with great ideas to build digital businesses with export potential.

The challenge calls on entrants to submit a digital business idea that has the potential to go global. Ideas could be anything from an app to a web initiative, or ways to enhance or add digital elements to a more traditional enterprise. Entrants can submit applications in te reo Māori or te reo Pākehā.

DigMyIdea is now open for business, with ideas due by 18 October 2015.

Arts Online survey

The Ministry of Education is interested in learning how the Arts Online website can better support teachers with Year 1 – 8 students to provide progressions of learning opportunities across all four strands: 

  • Understanding the Arts in Context
  • Developing Practical Knowledge in the Arts
  • Developing Ideas in the Arts
  • Communicating and Interpreting in the Arts 

You do not have to be a regular Arts Online user to take part in the survey. Your feedback will contribute to future development of this site. Please forward this link to your colleagues.
