Support for secondary middle managers

This site is designed to assist secondary middle managers to work with their departments to implement the New Zealand Curriculum. It aims to explore various aspects of effective pedagogy, with an initial focus on creating supportive learning environments in classrooms and departments.

The content has been organised into five key sections: effective teaching and learning; pathways; students; connections and partnerships; and infrastructure and processes. Within each section there are reflective questions for middle managers, suggestions for activities to try in department meetings and links to resources and research. There is also a discussion forum where middle managers can make suggestions and share examples of good practice.
