- The implementation of marautanga ā-kura integrating Te Āhua o a tātou Ākonga (graduate profile) supports the progress and achievement of learners at key transition times in kura and Māori medium settings.
- Collaborative and determined relationships between students, whānau, leaders, teachers, and Boards of Trustees assist with setting learner goals and aspirations.
- Collaborative on-going development reflects iwi aspirations.
- Kura and Māori medium settings know how to regularly review their marautanga ā-kura to ensure it is directly responding, through the collection of relevant evidence, to the learning needs of students.
- There is on-going development of teachers’ use and understanding of the language of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and its intent/meaning.
- Learning networks of kura and Māori medium settings collaborate find innovative solutions to challenges to improve student achievement.
- Te Rūnanga Nui o ngā Kura Kaupapa Māori o Aotearoa and Kura ā-Iwi Incorporated society are engaged to complement PLD provision in kura they are responsible for.
Notes:
- Kura and Māori medium settings are at different stages of completing the development of their marautanga ā-kura. Some will need further support to complete this process, others will need support to ‘test’ the outcomes they have set, and others will need to review their set outcomes to ensure they remain relevant.
- Kura and Māori medium settings need ongoing support to ensure they collect quality evidence to show the outcomes set remain relevant for their learners.
