Website redesign

22/10/09

New Zealand Curriculum Online has been supporting teachers and school leaders since the curriculum launch in 2007. In that time the site has grown substantially. Now it is time for a new look and organisation to take account of this growth and take us into the future.

The site is now organised into five main sections:

Curriculum documents

In this section you will find The New Zealand Curriculum document as web pages and documents that can be downloaded. Te Marautanga o Aotearoa is also available as a download.

National Standards

The National Standards will be published on this site in their entirety. You will also find supporting information and contact details. This section will continue to grow with news and supporting information.

Ministry curriculum guides

The MOE supporting materials for curriculum implementation are all housed in this collection. This includes information for secondary schools, career education, and financial capability. Future guides will be added to this section.

Curriculum stories

We continue to gather school stories from throughout New Zealand. In this section you will find text-based stories and videos, keynote presentations from leading educators, and case study stories.

Curriculum resources

This section includes the resource bank (which now allows you to rate resources and make comments), links to other ministry websites, strategies for getting started (which provides practical ideas for curriculum discussions and exploration), and a new look forum. The existing forum has been moved to the archives.

This dynamic site will continue to grow. The front page of the site will reflect the new items as they are added. You can use the RSS feature to add NZC Online to your favourite RSS aggregator and always be up to date with any new additions.
