The Ministry of Education are hosting two further webinars on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 May. 

Wellbeing and transitions back to early learning and school for children and young people with learning support needs

This webinar is for parents and whānau supporting children and young people with disabilities, high health needs, learning and behaviour difficulties to return to early learning services and schools.

The webinar will be hosted by Dr David Wales, National Director, Learning Support. Panellists include Mark Potter, Principal Berhampore Primary School, parent Frian Wadia, RTLB Cluster Manager Roseanne Gibson, Practice Adviser Māori (Pouhikiahurea) Sonja MacFarlane and Psychologist Michelle Wood, Ministry of Education.  
 
You may want to advise your parent community that they can join the live webinar any time from 10.45am for an 11am start on Thursday 21 May and participate by sending questions you’d like the panel to answer through the live chat.

Kindness for Kaiako | Teacher Wellbeing

This webinar is focused on wellbeing for principals and teachers and will explore different dimensions of wellbeing in the context of schools and learning services. 
 
As well as discussing conceptual frameworks, participants will discuss mindfulness, physical health, self-efficacy and connectedness, models such as Te Whare Tapa Whā and how they might be used in practice to support improved Hauora and resilience for everyone.
 
Hosted by Jack Boyle, President PPTA, with Sarah Maindonald, Teacher and Guidance Counsellor, Mairehau School and Myles Ferris, Tumuaki of Te Kura o Otangarei and Maori Principals Association president. You can join the live webinar any time from 3.45pm for a 4pm start on Friday 22 May and participate by sending questions you’d like the panel to answer through the live chat.
