National Standards introductory webinar

The National Standards introductory webinars were held during 2009.
The Powerpoint below introduces the National Standards and provides you with some initial information. It looks at the purpose of the standards, how they relate to the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, and what you might need to consider as you begin working the National Standards this year.
It does not address the specifics of how you might do things in your school as each school is unique. Each school will decide how they will use the National Standards to support their on-going implementation of The New Zealand Curriculum.
Ongoing professional development and support will be available in 2010 as your school works to implement the standards. Please contact your local School Support services provider or regional ministry office for more information. There is also more information available on the TKI web-site.
