National Standards in reading, writing, and maths – how well is my child doing?

A leaflet for parents, family and whānau explaining National Standards has been developed by the Ministry of Education.
The leaflet explains in clear, plain language what the standards are and why they have been introduced. It outlines the process of assessment and reporting, and suggests some questions that parents, family and whānau can ask teachers so that they know how their child is doing at school and how to help them at home.
