Partnerships
A young person’s education involves partnerships not only within the school and classroom but beyond the school gates as well.
There are a number of key relationships that each impact in different but important ways on how well students progress at school. These include:
- relationships between schools/teachers and parents, families, whānau
- links between schools, teachers and students in the different education sectors, especially at times of student transition
- teacher networks within the same school
- relationships between teachers and students (see Learning environments)
- relationships between students and their parents/families
- relationships between students, including peer support/tutoring relationships.
